Equipment specifications

The equipment reference pages retain the published Marine Deicer specification tables and their dated manufacturer citations. The original verification date is shown on each relevant page; the website redesign does not represent a new manufacturer certification.

Running current is expressed in amps. Volt-amperes are apparent power and should not be presented as true watts without accounting for power factor. Consult the manufacturer’s current manual and the exact model’s nameplate when planning the installation.

Coverage & water depth

The interactive comparison uses the 24 combinations in the published sizing matrix. These figures depend on favourable, unobstructed conditions and a large, deep body of water. Wind, current, hulls, pilings and shallow water change the result. The diagram places example boats and docks at a fixed scale beside the published dimensions. Boat illustrations are representative, not a site survey. Obstructions and water circulation around boats are not modeled.

Kasco’s published minimum of 4 ft is stated separately from our recommendation of 6 ft or more. The tool does not provide a chart result for water below 4 ft, and flags 4–5 ft for additional review.

Prices & purchasing

Purchases are completed through Natural Waterscapes. Product destinations were checked on September 27, 2026. Final pricing, available variants, stock, shipping and order terms are confirmed in that store. Illustrative prices and inventory labels from earlier design proposals are not sales offers.

Higher-voltage configurations and unusual sites require confirmation with the team. Product-family photographs illustrate the equipment; verify the exact configuration before ordering.

Corrections & open questions

The Kasco 4400D reference retains the published correction to 9.1 running amps and 42 lb thrust. Unsupported ice-jacking force estimates and precise shallow-water temperature claims are not presented as verified facts.

U.S. Solar Mounts guidance retains its provisional specification notes. Off-grid duty-cycling controls are discussed as an accessory category without an unsupported branded product or energy-savings promise.
